GLOBAL knives are made from the most premium high carbon stainless steel available for creating professional high quality kitchen knives. CROMOVA 18 stainless steel has been exclusively developed for use in GLOBAL knives and is hard enough for the knives to keep their sharp edge but soft enough so they can be easily sharpened. The high percentage of chromium in the knives enable their excellent stain resistance.
To maintain and get the correct balance, GLOBAL utilises a hollow handle which is filled with a small amount of sand instead of a tang and bolster as it more precise and for the reason that Asian knives naturally do not have bolsters, as they serve as a hindrance to cutting and sharpening. The smooth contours of the knives and their all stainless steel composition eliminates food and dirt traps providing the ultimate in health and hygiene.
