Method

  1. In a small bowl, stir together the 3 sauce ingredients. Set aside.

  2. Heat a large stir fry pan or wok over high heat and add 1 tbsp oil. When oil is hot, add thinly sliced beef in a single layer and keep sautéeing for 3-5 minutes until almost cooked through. Season with salt & pepper, then add ginger & garlic. Sautee again for 1 minute.

  3. Drizzle BBQ sauce over the beef to taste. Once it reaches desired taste, stir-fry another 1 min or until beef is cooked through. Move beef onto a plate and cover to keep warm.

  4. Wipe pan clean with a paper towel and place it back over high heat. Add 1 tbsp oil and let it heat. Once oil is hot, add mushrooms onto the pan. Season lightly with salt & pepper to taste and stir fry for 4-5 minutes. (Careful not to overcook!) Transfer mushrooms to plate with the beef.

  5. Repeat the process of adding 1 tbsp oil, this time along with sliced onion and other vegetables (red bell pepper, zucchini). Stir fry for about 7 minutes or until soft.

  6. Lower the heat. Mix beef and mushrooms back in with the vegetables and drizzle more sauce to taste. Stir fry just until heated and transfer onto a plate. Serve over steamed white rice and enjoy!
