Blissful Baileys & Cream Easter Egg Cocktail

Easter, the holiday of eating too many chocolate bunnies and cracking one too many hard-boiled eggs is almost upon us (if you're trying to figure out where the start of the year has gone then we're right there with you). 

With that comes the expectation for various sweet treats no doubt filled with the aforementioned chocolate you've had too much of. If you want to be a bit more original then may we suggest a bit of an alcoholic refreshment in the form of your new favourite drink - Bailey's & Cream Easter Egg Cocktail! 

This adults-only drink is filled with heaps of Baileys Irish cream, vanilla vodka and creme chocolate eggs for the perfect Easter refreshment. Cheers!

Method 

1. We're calling this step the 'swizzle & drizzle'. Thread 1 chocolate egg onto each swizzle stick before drizzling syrup on a small plate. Dip the rims of the glasses into the syrup (see image below if you're having trouble imaging what this looks like). 

2. Place half of the Irish cream, vodka and thickened cream in a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Secure the lid and shake to combine. 

3. Strain the mixture into half of the prepared glasses. Repeat with the remaining Irish cream, vodka, thickened cream, ice, and the other prepared glasses. 

4. Place an extra dollop of whipped cream onto the cocktails and dust lightly with cocoa. Top each glass with a skewered chocolate egg swizzle stick and enjoy it while your kids are running around still looking for the eggs you hid hours ago.
