355 ml whole milk
118 ml heavy cream 30 g
Dark brown sugar
10 g cornstarch
2.5 g flakey sea salt
227 g dark chocolate, chopped

Method
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the whole milk, heavy cream, dark brown sugar, cornstarch, and flakey sea salt.
- Warm the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously until the sugar and cornstarch are fully dissolved.
- Add the chopped dark chocolate to the saucepan. Continue to stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Allow the hot chocolate to simmer gently for a few minutes to develop the flavors, ensuring to stir it regularly to prevent it from burning.
- Once the hot chocolate has reached your desired thickness, remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and garnish with homemade whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if desired.
