Ingredients

  • 1 cup light cream cheese
  • 3 tsps fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon rind, finely grated
  • 400g packet French-style crepes, thawed
  • 8 slices (200g) smoked salmon
  • 1 small red onion, halved & thinly sliced

These beauties only take 15 minutes to prepare and absolutely zero cooking time but still taste just as good as if a professional caterer made them!

Perfect for casual lunches or fancy dinners, these bite-sized rolls full of salmon-y goodness are bound to have even the toughest of critics begging for the recipe.

Method

  1. Place the cream cheese, dill and lemon rind into a mixing bowl. Season the mixture with salt and pepper and stir to combine.

  2. Place 1 crepe on a flat surface and spread 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on it. Top it with a little onion before rolling it up to enclose all the yummy ingredients inside. Trim the ends if you want it to look really professional or you can opt for a more rustic feel by leaving the ends the way they are.

  3. Secure the rolls with toothpicks and repeat the process with the remaining crepes, cream cheese mixture, salmon, onion and toothpicks.

  4. Serve it beautifully arranged on a board or platter for maximum visual impact.
